North Melbourne high flyer Aaron Edwards will be raring to go after being recalled to the team for the first time since round nine.

The 26 year-old looked to have secured his spot after playing seven straight games in the early part of the season, but fell out of favour following the Kangaroos' disappointing loss to the Bulldogs.

An extended spell in the VFL has done little to quell Edwards' enthusiasm. He racked up 25 possessions and pulled down six marks in wet and windy conditions last week to force the hand of coach Brad Scott.

At the other end of the ground, Nathan Grima is back after spending two weeks on the sidelines with an ankle injury. The defender could face a daunting challenge with the prospect of playing on the in-form Jack Riewoldt.

Meanwhile, Gavin Urquhart will look to provide some drive off half-back as he works to win back a regular place in the side.

The former 2nd round draft-pick has had a season to forget since hurting his knee against Hawthorn in round five.

A knee injury is also the reason for Lindsay Thomas’ omission after a minor training mishap on Thursday. The lively forward has kicked 28 goals for the season, but was ruled out on Friday after failing to recover adequately.

Initially named in the 25-man squad, Leigh Harding and draftee Jamie MacMillan will both spend another week at VFL level.
