Following the announcement today that Sunday’s game against fourth-placed Hawthorn at the SCG is sold-out, the Sydney Swans are urging members, who won’t be attending, to put their tickets back onto the system through the ‘Lease your Seat’ program.

Due to the reduced capacity of the SCG there have been less than 3,000 tickets available for sale each game and the biggest crowd for 2007 was 25,953 when the Swans took on Fremantle.

Swans Chief Executive Myles Baron-Hay: “We are very much at the ‘pointy end’ of the season with this being our last game in Sydney and we would love to squeeze as many supporters into the SCG as possible this Sunday,” he said.

“If any of our members know they are unable to attend we strongly urge them to consider putting their seats back onto the system, the more red and white we can get into the ground the better it will be for the team.”

The ‘Lease your Seat’ program is for all Sydney Swans memberships with a reserved seat who opt to put their seat back into the Ticketek system to be re-sold to another Swans supporter. Each time a member releases their seat and it is SOLD, they will receive valuable membership dollars, which will be used as credit for their 2008 membership.
