CAMDEN, 60km south-west of Sydney, will play host to AFL champion Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico and the Australian Football Experience this Friday and Saturday.
Australian Football 150 Years joins the Camden Show from 8am to 6pm on both days, while Dipper will sign autographs for footy fans on Saturday, March 8 from 1-3pm.
Families can stay and enjoy performances by three-piece funk-rock band Tracing Lines from 3.30pm and alternative rock group Astreetlightsong from 5pm.
Dipper said the communities he had visited as an Australian Football 150 Years ambassador had embraced the Australian Football Experience and were excited to host it in their home towns.
"I've found that locals are really excited about being photographed with the Toyota Premiership Cup and the Nab Cup replicas as well as experiencing the various football elements like The Big Kick," he said.
“The goals are enormous and make you feel like you are lining up in a real footy match.
“The kids love competing for daily gift packs, and the chance to win tickets to the 2008 Toyota AFL Grand Final is a real drawcard."
Dipper encouraged local families to join the celebrations by visiting the NAB 150 Tour Heritage display and taking part in the Sony PlayStation interactive games.
“What's been great is that a wide range of football enthusiasts are enjoying the experience from young children to adults. It’s fun for all ages!" he said.
