Draftee Shaun Atley has been named to play his 15th AFL match on Sunday after North Melbourne released its final 22 to take on Hawthorn in Launceston.

Atley's last match was one to forget against Collingwood with the Kangaroos going down by 117 points at the MCG. The youngster was rested with a tender knee, but has now fully recovered and even managed to play some VFL matches with North Ballarat during his spell from the senior side.

Lindsay Thomas also returns while Cruize Garlett wasn't lucky enough to fit back in despite a remarkable run in the twos. Garlett has been named as an emergency alongside Jamie Macmillan and Gavin Urquhart who was dropped after last week's loss to Carlton. Leigh Adams was the other omission because of a minor knee injury.

The team will train at Aegis Park on Saturday from 11am before flying out of Melbourne in the afternoon.
