The Melbourne Football Club is saddened by the news of the passing of premiership player, Stan Rule.
Stan played 74 games for the Melbourne Football Club between 1946 and 1950 including the successful Melbourne 1948 premiership side.
Stan also played in the 1946 Grand Final with Melbourne and represented Victoria in 1949.
The directors, officials, players and members of the Melbourne Football Club pass on their sincerest condolences to Stan’s family and friends.
Melbourne players will wear black armbands against Collingwood at The MCG on Friday night.
