Geelong has named 37 players in its NAB Cup squad to face North Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs on Sunday.

The squad features every player apart from Matthew Scarlett, Cameron Ling, Shannon Byrnes, Mitch Brown, Travis Varcoe, Jack Weston, Jesse Stringer, Marcus Drum, Billie Smedts and Dawson Simpson.

Eleven players will be making their NAB Cup debuts, including six first year players - Ryan Bathie, George Burbury, Cameron Guthrie, George Horlin-Smith, Jordan Schroder and Josh Walker.

Ben Johnson, Allen Christensen, Nathan Vardy, Josh Cowan and Daniel Menzel will be playing NAB Cup for the first time, while Jonathan Simpkin will play for Geelong for the first time in the competition after representing Sydney in the 2007 NAB Cup.

The Cats will be able to make wholesale changes to the team as they will be playing in the first and third games of the round robin. Geelong play North Melbourne at 3:45, then the Roos face the Western Bulldogs in the second contest and the Cats then play the Dogs in the finale.

The final make up of the teams for the two games will not be announced until Sunday.

All supporters are urged to prebook tickets or arrive early on the day to ensure easy entry to Skilled Stadium.
