Port Adelaide will take on St Kilda with what is regarded as the best ruck combination in the AFL after Dean Brogan was cleared to play on Thursday.
Port Adelaide will take on St Kilda with what is regarded as the best ruck combination in the AFL after Dean Brogan was cleared to play on Thursday.
Despite not training with the main group at the Power’s major session of the week on Wednesday, Brogan will rejoin vice-captain Brendon Lade in the ruck after missing last week’s win with an ankle sprain.
The news wasn’t so good however for Danyle Pearce or Daniel Motlop – both were not able to be considered for the Friday night clash with their hamstring and ankle injuries respectively.
It will be Pearce’s third week on the sidelines and Motlop’s fourth.
Tough nut Tom Logan is the unlucky one to make way for Brogan, after an even team performance in the wet against Collingwood on Saturday.
The match will be full back Darryl Wakelin’s 250th in the AFL after debuting for St Kilda in 1995. He will become only the second player to reach the milestone at Port Adelaide and one of less than 20 current players to have played 250 games.
The prime time Friday night clash will start at 7.10pm and include an Anzac Day ceremony before the match as well as many other Anzac commemorations outside the ground.
The team to face St Kilda at AAMI Stadium on Friday night is as follows...
