East Fremantle Football Club is a leader in Australian Rules Football with a strong brand built on our people, our commitment to values driven leadership and a history which has delivered unsurpassed on field success and the development of players and people whom have advanced to the AFL.

Football is the primary product of the Club’s business operations and the Football Operations Manager has a vital role to play in managing the Football pathway in the East Fremantle District with an emphasis on the management of the human resources required. . 

Commencing with 14’s Development Squads and culminating in Senior Football, the East Fremantle District Model includes metropolitan and regional zones.

Role activities include:

  • Manage the playing list of the East Fremantle Football Club Colts, Reserves and League Teams in compliance with WAFL By Laws, Player Rules, Regulations and Operational Policies.
  • Manage the East Fremantle Football Club Senior Player List with a view to sustainable competitiveness and consistent finals appearances whilst supporting the objective of developing from within our district. 
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to East Fremantle Football Club Coaching Staff with respect to planning, the allocation of resources and the review of on field performance.
  • Developing a strong understanding of, and network within the East Fremantle Football District.
  • Ensure effective mechanisms are in place to provide support and feedback to players and parents.
  • Responsibility for the appointment and evaluation of Medical, Strength and Conditioning and Ancillary Staff and provision of ongoing performance evaluation and development opportunities.  

Success is a perpetual aspiration and as such a function of the role is to strive for incremental excellence and lead the Football Department in a manner which reflects the aspirations of the Members.

  • Highly Organised

Previous management experience will be highly regarded; especially with respect to managing human resources.
