Communications Officer

Enjoying a history that extends beyond 125 years, Hawthorn Football Club is a proud, successful and respected member of the Australian Football League, well placed for future success. The Club is presently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Communications Team.

Reporting to the Communications Manager the Communications Officer will assist with the day-to-day operations of the department, including coordinating media requests, match-day media, media strategy implementation, Club publications, proof reading and website content production.

1. Advanced inter-personal and communication skills.
2. Excellent presentation and influencing capabilities.
3. Extremely high attention to detail.
4. Demonstrated administration skills combined with a capacity to manage multiple projects
5. Sound negotiation skills.

The ideal candidate will be a confident outgoing person who can build on his/her communications and/or public relations background, tertiary qualifications are desirable but not essential and be able to work weekends.
