Geelong midfielder Josh Hunt will miss the Cats clash with Sydney after suffering a corked shin. The 21 year old received the knock to his shin in Geelong’s loss to West Coast last week in Subiaco.

“Josh has a severe corky of his shin,” Geelong football operations manager Garry Davidson told gfc.com.au.

“He copped a whack on the shin against the Eagles and we hope he will be back for next week’s game against Hawthorn.”

Hunt has played the past two games after impressing early in the season with the Cats’ VFL outfit.

Hunt is in his third season with Geelong after being selected with the 44th pick in the 2000 national draft. He has played 15 games since debuting in 2001.
