MIDFIELDER Bryce Gibbs has re-signed with Carlton for the next two years.
Blues coach Brett Ratten announced the re-signing at the club's season launch on Wednesday night at Docklands in Melbourne.
The No.1 pick in the 2006 NAB AFL Draft said, while he misses home in South Australia, the key reason he stayed was because he's excited about Carlton's future.
Gibbs, who turns 19 on Saturday, said his main goal for the season is to cement a permanent spot in the Carlton mid-field.
