It took 13 years for Richmond to win a Round 16 match in the VFA (1897) and 12 years to win a Round 16 match in the VFL (1919).

Interestingly (but not as bad), Richmond has won only six Round 16 matches in the last 20 years, with our last victory being in 2001.

Telstra Dome isn't Richmond’s favorite ground either, the Tigers having won only two of their last 10 outings at the Docklands venue. And, we have yet to kick a score of more than 100 points under the stadium’s roof this year.

Hopefully, all that can change this Saturday afternoon there, against the Saints . . .

Let’s now take a look at some of the more memorable Richmond-related Round 16 milestones/lowlights:

• 1920 – Richmond kicks 20 goals or more in a VFL game for the first time.

• 1930 – Richmond's 95-point victory in this round was the biggest to that stage in its VFL history.

• 1931 – Richmond’s highest first quarter score until 1974 – 9.5 (59).

• 1953 – Richmond’s lowest ever score at Kardinia Park – 4.9 (33).

• 1961 – Richmond’s lowest ever VFL score – 0.8 (8).

• 1964 – Dick Grimmond's 100th VFL game with the Tigers.

• 1967 – Most behinds in a game in Richmond’s VFL history – 30!

• 1930 – Bill Benton kicks 7 goals against North Melbourne.

• 1931 – Doug Strang kicks 8 goals against Essendon.

• 1932 – Doug Strang kicks 9 goals against Hawthorn.

• 1979 – David Cloke kicks 7 goals straight against Hawthorn.

• 1980 – Michael Roach kicks 10 goals, 4 behinds against St Kilda.

• 1981 – Michael Roach kicks 9 goals, 1 behind against Hawthorn.

• 1999 – Matthew Richardson kicks 7 goals, 1 behind against Melbourne.
