Perth’s number one hit music station 92.9 today confirmed that it had renewed its Silver Level Sponsorship with the Fremantle Football Club for a further two years.

Very few sponsors can lay claim to having been with the Fremantle Football Club since day one, so the club is delighted to confirm that the relationship will continue through to 2010.

Austereo's general manager in Perth Linda Wayman said she was looking forward to building further ties with the club as a valued Silver Level Sponsor.

“92.9 is delighted to be involved with Fremantle Football club for another two years,” Wayman said.

"We have had a great relationship with the club and the next two years will build even further on that as both the club and 92.9 go from strength to strength.”

92.9 is a loyal supporter of the club, with a player as a regular guest during the season on the Em and Wippa Breakfast show. Em and Wippa also host pre-game functions at all home games and special club events.

Fremantle's general manager of strategic partnerships Darren Beazley said that the pro-active approach of both Linda Wayman and brand director Wendy Allen to the sponsorship meant that 92.9 was seen as part of the Fremantle family.

"It's fair to say that 92.9 are now 'part of the team' at Fremantle and their ability to use Em and Wippa at events and on game days,  as well as using our players for on-air exposure, has meant that we've been able to align their brand in our marketing mix," Beazley said.

"I see no reason why our brands can't develop an even closer relationship in the future.”
