It's hard to believe the Bombers almost lost Dean Solomon to the Tigers. This year he has stepped up a notch. He is playing with real confidenceand tenacity. He was always tough but now he has combined his attack on the footy (and the man) with smart foot passing and quick handballs. He is playing down back in defense, up forward as a marking target and in the centre. He picked up 19 possessions in the game against the Swans and kicked 3 goals to give him a best on ground performance.

The Bombers slow start to the season seems long ago now. With 4 wins in a row and the chance to put a few more wins on the board in the coming weeks Sheedy must be quite pleased with how things are shaping up. Fletcher, Hird and JJ gathered 23 possessions each in the latest game.
JJ played like he has not missed a beat.

Dyson, Stanton and Lovett-Murray all kicked goals and contributed throughout the game. This younger group of players along with the recent recruits of Murphy and Allan are making a real difference to the team dynamics. There is little doubt that Hille is playing the best football of his career to date in a tag team combination with Allan, and Murphy is adding more speed to the midfield.

The challenge for the Bombers now is to start playing 4 quarters of football. With almost a full team and no injuries to senior players it looks like the team could begin playing even better footy. James Hird is certainly leading from the front along with some other experienced players. Watch out Bulldogs the Bombers are on the hunt for 5 wins!
