SYDNEY Swans member Martyn Sparkes is this week’s Member of the Week.

sydneyswans.com.au got the inside story on why Martyn loves being a Swans member and what his all-time favourite Swans moment is.

Here's what Martyn had to say...

When did you first join the Sydney Swans?
1999 officially, but I have been going to games since 1982.

What do you like most about being a member?
Belonging to a great football club and being able to attend games with my family in reserved seating. I am so proud of being a supporter. Two years ago I had the Swans symbol tattooed on my left arm so I could show the world my commitment. We also have a lounge room fully decorated with Swans memorabilia.

What is your all-time favourite Swans moment?
2005 Grand Final; and Tony Lockett kicking 1300 goals.

What has been your favourite moment in 2010?
Wining the elimination final against Carlton. However most of the season was great with a lot of gutsy wins.

Who do you think will be 2010 Club Champion?
Brett Kirk.

Who is your favourite Swans player?
Adam Goodes/ Brett Kirk.

Where do you sit at the SCG/ANZ Stadium? Why do you love these seats?
The O’Reilly Stand at the SCG. The seats have a high view and are right on the centre line, plus they are undercover. ANZ- almost behind the player’s bench in Aisle 130 - great position with a good view of the players and the game.

What do you like most about coming to Swans matches?
The excitement of watching a really good brand of football with a wonderful group of committed members. Especially sharing the excitement with my wife and two daughters (12 & 14), all of whom I have converted to this great game.

Any final words for the team?
Keep doing what you do so well with the ferocious commitment to the Bloods and your team-mates. That is all we members can ever ask of you.
