Daniel Giansiracusa is the multicultural player who has caught Kevin Sheedy’s eye in recent rounds in the AFL.

Ahead of Multicultural Round, Sheedy names a range of multicultural players who are making an impact in the AFL on the second instalment of Flash Footy this week

 “What a great season it has been so far for our multicultural people coming through to Australia,” Sheedy said to Flash Footy,

 “I am going right now to pick the best player of recent weeks and that is Daniel Giansiracusa.

“Averaging nearly three goals at the moment, [there] has been a fantastic lift in his form.”

Giansiracusa, who is of Italian heritage, has averaged three goals in the past seven rounds for the Western Bulldogs, with a career high 5 goals against Geelong in Round 11.

The inaugural Multicultural Round in the AFL will be held this weekend over Round 17 to celebrate the competition’s cultural diversity.
