John Anthony played seven matches in 2010 and was unable to recapture his 2009 form, when he won the Coventry Trophy as the club’s leading goal kicker with 50 goals. When recalled he spent plenty of time in defence when he played after impressing there in the VFL, but unfortunately was squeezed out of the side for most of the year and was delisted.
 
Highlights
Round 2 v Melbourne: Kicked an important last quarter goal which was crucial in the Pies’ one-point win.

Round 14 v West Coast: Played particularly well as a tall defender in the big win over West Coast with 17 possessions.
