Graeme stepped down in late February 2006, after six years as Chairman of the Club - but stays on as a director. Initially appointed to the Board of the Brisbane Bears in January 1992, he is a homegrown Queenslander who played senior football with the former Kedron Football Club. He is a Chartered Accountant and his business interests include ownership of the Charlies Restaurant in Surfers Paradise and partnership in Charlies Broadbeach. He is retained as a consultant to Worrells, Gold Coast, his former practice. His other Board appointments include Chairman of Surfers Paradise Management Ltd, the Indy Events Advisory Board and the AFLQ Commission. Graeme was re-elected to the Board by members in 1998, 2000, 2003 and again in 2005. He was unanimously endorsed by the Board as its Chairman in February 2000 following a year as Deputy Chairman.
