Collingwood has named a 25-man squad for Monday’s Queen’s Birthday match against Melbourne with forward’s Travis Cloke and Paul Medhurst listed as well as tall Ben Reid.

The club has made no omissions from the side that beat Port Adelaide by 38-points last Sunday and will finalise its squad on Saturday afternoon (check the club website for final team).

Medhurst, the club’s sole representative in the 2008 All-Australian side, is set to make his return from an ankle injury sustained against North Melbourne in round six.  The 27-year-old was averaging six marks and two goals a game prior to his injury.

Medhurst looks to join Cloke in the Magpies’ forward line with the centre-half forward named on the ground.  The 2007 Copeland Trophy winner, who suffered a mild hamstring injury in round seven, has been having an indifferent year but will look to kick start his season against Melbourne.

After a strong 20-possession outing in the VFL’s win last Sunday, Reid has been named on the extended interchange.  The 20-year-old has played two senior games this season (round one and eight) as a forward but has excelled playing a key defensive role down back for the VFL side this year.

Sean Rusling (cheekbone), Ben Johnson (leg) and Anthony Rocca (knee) could all be in contention for the VFL this weekend having stints on the sideline with various injuries.

Melbourne has named Jack Watts to play his first senior game after selected by the club with pick one in last year’s draft.
