ST KILDA has surprisingly delisted Robert Eddy less than two months after he played in a grand final.

The 22-year-old represented the Saints in both the drawn and replayed grand finals against Collingwood, with his most significant contribution a missed set shot in the final quarter of the first game.

Eddy played 33 games for the Saints after he was taken with the 39th pick at the 2007 rookie draft.

He was dropped for the 2009 grand final but came back to play 10 games in 2010.

Luke Miles has also been delisted after two games. The defender made his debut against Richmond in round 21 and played the following week before he was dropped for the finals.

While he did not play for the Saints in September, he still took out the grand final sprint.

Like Eddy, Miles came to the Saints via the rookie draft, where he was taken with pick 24 in 2008.

"We appreciate the contribution of these players and value the input they made during their time at St Kilda. The club's position has now been finalised ahead of next week's AFL draft," coach Ross Lyon said.

Veteran ruckman Michael Gardiner remains with the club after its second list lodgement, despite some conjecture about whether his knee could withstand another season.

Last month, the Saints announced the delisting of Andrew Lovett and Adam Pattison, while Steven King and Jesse Smith retired.

Rookies Mark Hutchings and Blake McGrath were also cut.
