St Kilda Football has hit a milestone 30,000 members, as the Club continues its quest for 45,000 Strong in 2011.

Ahead of what looks to be another huge season for the red, black and white, support for the Saints continues to grow, with 1,500 more members already signed up than at the same time last year.

Saints CEO Michael Nettlefold, said it was an important milestone for the Club and applauded all those who had committed to the Club.

“It is a fantastic result for the Club that we have already reached 30,000 members with over one month remaining until we take on Geelong for a blockbuster Round 1 match at the MCG.”

“The support from our members and supporter base is essential to the success of the St Kilda Football Club,” he said.

“We’re an exciting Club that has seen substantial successful over the last few years, but we continue to push for an elusive second Premiership this season.

I urge all Saints supporters to renew their membership and join us in Season 2011. See you at the MCG for Round 1 for the opening match against the Cats. It doesn’t get any bigger, St Kilda and Geelong is one of the great rivalries. We can’t wait. Go Saints!” said Nettlefold.
