JOHN Anthony's decision to quit Collingwood may yet be followed by one of the Pies' favourite sons as the reigning premier's off-season turnover continues.

Anthony's decision to walkout on the club late last week takes the number of Pies to depart the 2010 senior list into double figures.

And that number could grow with Prestigiacomo still to decide if he will play on for a 16th AFL season.

"He's [Prestigiacomo] certainly a major factor in terms of the consideration [of our final list]," Collingwood football manager Geoff Walsh told SEN on Monday.

"We've listed him in the first list lodgement last week, the second list lodgement is due this week, so we'll have some further discussions.

"What slowed down any final decision is Mick Malthouse is still overseas [and] he doesn't return until tomorrow."

If Prestigiacomo, who missed the club's finals campaign after suffering a thigh injury in round 20, decides to hang up his boots that will take the number of changes to the senior list to 11.

Collingwood has already added six players to its list.

The Pies gained three players during trade week - Chris Tarrant, Andrew Krakouer and John Ceglar - and has upgraded three rookies (Jarryd Blair, Tom Young and Lachlan Keeffe), meaning four spots currently need to be filled.

Anthony's decision last week came as somewhat of a bolt from the blue, the club now likely to lose the 22-year-old for nothing after he decided the likes of Chris Dawes and Travis Cloke were too far ahead in the pecking order.

"My understanding, after discussions with him, is he'll be nominating for the pre-season draft, which means he can delist himself on the second list lodgement and even later than that because the pre-season draft is obviously not until December," Walsh said.

"He's got a little bit of time, we've spoken to him but really the ball is in John's court and at this stage he thinks his options lie elsewhere."

Walsh said the Pies had investigated a trade during the player exchange period, but found nothing suitable.

"At his request his name was put up, his name was put as someone who was keen for a trade if it was possible," he said.

"So that happened during trade week but nothing came of that."

Collingwood enters the NAB AFL Draft with picks 45, 46, 61, 78 and 79.
