THE AFL announced on Wednesday that Brett Clothier has been appointed to the position of manager of integrity services.

A statement confirmed that Mr Clothier would commence with the League next month, with his duties to include the review and ongoing management of integrity services and the further development of processes to manage information received from bookmaking and betting agencies.

He would also finalise and implement the AFL's personal conduct policy.

A solicitor, Mr Clothier currently holds a senior management position with Racing Victoria's integrity services department.

In his new role he will report to Adrian Anderson, the AFL's general manager of football operations.
