Today Spotlight On looks at the progress of Andrew Swallow.
How is the groin holding up going into the NAB Cup?
The groin's good now. I did all the management with it and started training fully before Christmas and I've done everything since. I'm ready to go now and feeling really good, so hopefully I'll be right to go in round one.
After winning the Syd Barker Medal, how do you look to back up in 2010?
I'd just like to get another full season under my belt and play 22 games. I also want to have more influence in the midfield. With Adam Simpson and Daniel Harris now gone I'd like to take a bit more of the load and work with some of the younger guys to have a really consistent midfield group who perform each week.
Is there more responsibility on you after winning an award like the Syd Barker Medal?
With the older guys leaving and having such a young squad, we don't really have too many players with experience who can go through the midfield so I'm excited and looking forward to working with Jack Ziebell, Liam Anthony, Ben Cunnington and these sort of players who are only in their first or second years.
You've added another string to your bow on the website with your blog 'Follow Swallow' - how are you enjoying that?
I really enjoy doing it and hopefully we can get a few supporters on board to follow the blog during the year. It will give a good insight about what we do when we travel and when we're away training.
