Williamstown Football Club continued its quality recruiting by signing TAC Cup club Oakleigh Chargers 2008 Best and Fairest Xavier Gotch last night. Xavier had an outstanding 2008 season which also included being an integral member of the Vic Metro Under 18 Championship side. Although disapppointed not to be selected in the AFL National or Rookie Draft, Xavier is determined to continue his development at VFL level with the Seagulls. Xavier's Oakleigh Chargers teammate Mark Weekes also signed with the Seagulls last night.

Williamstown has now signed 2 TAC Cup club 2008 best and fairests in Dylan Joyce and Xavier Gotch. Both these young players are expected to boost the Seagulls midfield and goalkicking potency.
