WEST COAST utility Shannon Hurn re-injured the leg he fractured earlier in the season during a training mishap in Perth on Friday.
A statement released by the Eagles said the 20-year-old Hurn received a kick to the site of the fractured fibula which has sidelined him since round six.
He originally injured the leg when fellow defender Brett Jones crashed into it early in the loss to the Western Bulldogs
Hurn will need to go back into the “moon boot” he wore initially and the club’s medical staff will next week re-assess his training load.
He was due to resume in the WAFL with Peel Thunder next week, but the training incident will defer his return by at least a fortnight.
