WE’VE got a chance to make the top four ifeverything falls our way this weekend, so we've got to make sure we maintainour intensity.
This week will give us a great lead-up intothe first week of the finals. We play Adelaide, and they're fighting for a spot in the top eight in what could be MarkRicciuto's last game.
Adelaide is a very professional, very well-drilled and well-programmed team. They like to set up the way they like to set up, regardless of the opposition,so that creates a challenge for us in itself.
We've got to be really smart with the waywe play them. They're a very fit and hard-running side, so that's going to beanother great test for us.
It's a great opportunity for us to play aside that is in good form right now.
It was a terrific game for us last week, given that we always match up well and have a good game against Sydney. We were alwaysquietly confident, but you never know until you get over the line.
Everything turned out pretty well; we werereally pleased that we got a little bit of form back. I think the week beforeagainst Melbournein the first half we started to get a bit of form back and then we died off abit in the second half.
Against Sydney, it was more of a four-quarter effort,so from that point of view, it was really quiet pleasing.
It was great to get back the intensity wehad earlier in the year, and that is the key. Sometimes you forget about that;you look at all the reasons why you're not playing that well, with form andinjuries, etc.
But that's one of the key reasons we hadsuch a good game on Saturday – we got a bit of our intensity back, a bit ofurgency back in our game.
I think the players might have started tofeel a bit of ownership about the weeks ahead. From a physical point of view, you're never quite sure how the whole list is feeling at any given time, butthere is no doubt that they looked like they had a bit of a spring in theirstep.
They looked a bit more revitalised, somaybe a bit of ownership came in ahead of the finals – it's that time of theyear, and now we've got to keep that intensity up.
I think Bucks being back had a reallypositive influence on the group, particularly given it was his first game backand it has been such a long journey and he's been so persistent in his attitudeto get back.
Bucks being able to get back and play agame of football had a big effect on the group. He also had a big influence onthe game itself; he hit a few targets early on and set up a couple of goals, soit was terrific.
I also think for the younger fellas whohaven't played with him before, it would have been a real buzz. There's nodoubt it would have given them a lift to play with a player of the calibre ofNathan.
There's certainly no chance for us to relaxthis weekend, even though we know we're going to play finals now. We can't takeit lightly at all – we need to be full-steam ahead this weekend, and we've gotto play every game as if it's our last.
The forward scouts can probably afford tostart looking ahead to who we could play in the first week of finals, but asfar as the rest of the team is concerned, not very much can be gained out oflooking too far ahead.
We've got to put all our eggs into thisbasket and make sure we win this game, and then we worry about who we playafter that. We really can't control who we're going to play, so there's not toomuch to be gained from worrying about that.
If I could choose, to be honest, I don'tthink it really matters who you play in the first week. When we played Geelong, we only got beaten by 16 points, and we've beatenSydney, Adelaide… and we had a good game against West Coast.
I really don't think it matters; it alldepends on our own preparation, our own form and our own intensity throughoutthe finals series.
