St Kilda is pleased to announce that 23 year old Irish recruit, Tommy Walsh, has been elevated to the Club’s primary list.

Since arriving at the Saints from County Kerry and Kerins O’Rahillys in Ireland, Tommy has been developing his AFL skills with St Kilda’s VFL affiliate team the Sandringham Zebras. Playing mostly in defence, Walsh finished in the top ten of Sandringham’s Best and Fairest in 2010 and has continued to improve over the summer and into Season 2011.

Named as an emergency for St Kilda’s Round 10 clash against Fremantle at Patersons Stadium tomorrow afternoon, Walsh is replacing Vice Captain Lenny Hayes, who has been placed on the Long Term Injury List after injuring his knee in St Kilda’s Round 2 match against Richmond.
