The Geelong Football Club board met for the first time in 2011 and reached a number of key decisions.
Colin Carter was elected as president and Gareth Andrews as vice president by the board. As per the club’s constitution, the board elects the president and vice president at the first board meeting of the year.
The board accepted the club management’s recommendation of the player leadership group (PLG) for 2011.
The PLG is Cameron Ling (captain), Joel Selwood (vice captain), Jimmy Bartel, Joel Corey, Corey Enright, James Kelly and Harry Taylor.
Former club president Frank Costa was appointed as club patron. The position had been vacant since the passing of long time patron Alex Popescu last year.
