Adelaide’s favourite pre-match entertainers are back this weekend, no doubt much to the delight of Crows supporters.

The Crows Dance Team will make their 2008 debut before the Fremantle clash in what will be the first of three appearances this year.

The girls have been training once a week since February in preparation and dance team choreographer Vanessa says the girls are excited.

“The girls have been looking forward to it since we started training”, Vanessa said.

“It’s going to be a high energy routine that will hopefully inspire the players and get the crowd going.”

There is a lot of difficulty that comes with performing on a stage as large as AAMI Stadium and Vanessa says bringing as much enthusiasm and action as possible helps the performance.

“It’s a lot different to dancing on a stage or a closed arena because AAMI is such a big area,” said Vanessa.

“So generally bigger movements stand out more from a spectator’s point of view, a lot of the time when you do intricate steps it gets lost.”

Three new members have joined the team this year and Crows fans can look forward to some great performances also in Round 12 against Hawthorn and in Round 18 against Carlton.
