The Public Transport Authority is advising people attending tonight’s clash between Fremantle and Carlton at Subiaco Oval that it cannot guarantee train services to the ground.

A PTA spokeswoman said that people going to the game, who had planned to catch a train, should make alternative transport arrangements.

The PTA issued the advice when normal train services were disrupted earlier today after dozens of train drivers called in sick.

The spokeswoman said while bus services to Subiaco Oval would not be affected, they provided only limited capacity.

The Fremantle Football Club apologise for any inconvenience caused by the disruption to train services which is a PTA matter and beyond the club’s control.
