The Lions have regained key players Justin Sherman and Jed Adcock who have both sufficiently recovered from their respective injuries, while Pearce Hanley and Tom Rockliff have earned a senior call-up after impressing with the Lions Reserves side.
Sherman has missed the past two matches with a minor thigh strain and will inject some much needed run into the side.
Adcock already proved his fitness last week after a successful return with the Lions Reserves and is set to play just his third match of the year. In fact, the Lions vice-Captain has managed just two quarters of match time so far in what has been an interrupted start to his 2010 season.
Hanley has been recalled for his first match of the year and just the fourth of his AFL career.
The Irish recruit have impressed the Lions coaching staff with his development in recent months and will likely play a key role across half-back in the absence of the injured Andrew Raines.
Raines has not recovered from a slight calf strain suffered against the Swans last week and his pace will be missed against the Dockers.
Matt Maguire will also miss after being rubbed out for one match by the AFL Tribunal while Troy Selwood and Amon Buchanan have both been omitted.
With key defender Maguire and Daniel Merrett absent from the Lions side, Joel Patfull and Brent Staker have been named in the full-back and centre half-back positions respectively.
Lions full-forward Brendan Fevola will be hoping to reach a significant milestone this week when he lines up against the Dockers. The 29 year-old is four goals shy of becoming just the 27th player in AFL history to boot 600 career goals.
