The 300-gamer launched his Twitter account @Boomer_29 on Wednesday and wasted no time posting his first tweet, 'G'day everyone. I'm new to Twitter. Looking forward to an awesome 2011. Go @northkangaroos! Boomer.'
Harvey joins the race to become the club's most popular Twitter user with @majakdaw already clocking up almost 700 followers in less than two months and @andrewswallow boasting over 2,300 since opening his page in early 2010.
