The Kangaroos stars of the future were formally inducted into the club last night in front of family and friends at Telstra Dome.

The Roos last night held their fourth annual Induction Night for the new arrivals at the club with a cocktail function at the club's home ground.

2005 Inductees Brad Moran and Jesse Smith were co-MCs for the function which was highlighted by talks from Chairman Graham Duff, Coach Dean Laidley, Football Manager Tim Harrington before the players were presented their jumper numbers by Kangaroos Chief Executive Geoff Walsh.

The night was sponsored by Kangaroos supporter group KNOW - the Kangaroos Network of Women and Jo Turton provided the players and their families information about the KNOW group.

Kangaroos Strategic and Player Development Manager Danny Daly said the club views the night as extremely important.

"We think it is vital that we welcome all the players and their families to the club with a professional function that gives them and background and the club and its structures," Daly said.

"It also gives the parents an opportunity to mingle with all the staff from football to administration departments in a relaxed atmosphere."

"The night was a huge success with the response from the parents really pleasing. Many of them said they got a lot out of the evening."

Kangaroos fans will get to see their new recruits for the first time in action next Friday, February 17 at Optus Oval when the club holds its first official intra-club match from 4pm.
