Cheyne also finished 7th overall in the entire AFL Dream Team competition which included almost 324,000 registered participants world-wide.
Stephen Linton’s TruthOrConsequence finished 931 points behind the eventual premier in second place despite setting the pace early and leading the competition up until Round 16. Stephen will still be rewarded for his efforts with a team-signed Lions Sherrin football.
Troy Cavanagh rounded out the top three and will receive a Lions merchandise pack.
Each of the three place-getters will be notified by the Club soon regarding their prizes.
Meanwhile, Performance Analysis Manager Jarrod Harkness proved the most valuable Dream Team coach among the eight Lions players and staff that took part in the Club’s online competition, finishing 65th in the Lions’ Group which included over 1,200 participants.
Jed Adcock took the honour as the highest scoring actual Lions player, holding off both a fast-finishing Ash McGrath and Justin Sherman.

On the field, it came as no surprise that midfielder Michael Rischitelli finished the season with more Dream Team points than any of his Lions team-mates.
Rischitelli enjoyed a career-best season and his consistent form was one of the shining lights for the Club in an otherwise disappointing 2010 season. He played every match for the season and averaged a Club-high 96.27 points per game.
He also ranked 20th in the entire AFL competition for most individual Dream Team points accumulated throughout the season. Collingwood’s Dane Swan ranked a first.
In a sign of what promises to be a bright future for the Lions, three of the team’s top six scorers for 2010 - Jack Redden, Daniel Rich and Tom Rockliff - are aged 20 years or younger.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER
Michael Rischitelli. The Lions midfielder played every match in 2010 and scored more points than any other Lions player. He scored in excess of 100 points on nine occasions with his highest total coming in Round 12 against the Bulldogs when he accumulated 126 points.
MOST IMPROVED PLAYER
Tom Rockliff. The young Lion started the season at the modest value of $101,100 and was considered a bargain after an impressive pre-season campaign. Rockliff rewarded the coaches that invested in him early by averaging more than 87 points per game and rising $266,100 in value by the end of the season. Only Fremantle’s Michael Barlow - who went up in value by $348,800 - improved more.
MOST POPULAR PLAYER
Jonathan Brown. Despite struggling throughout much of the second half of the season with an injury complaint, the inspirational skipper still appeared in more AFL Dream Teams than any other Lions player. In fact, he was the 14th most popular player in the League, appearing in a total of 87,219 teams. For the record, Geelong midfielder Gary Ablett featured in 198.983 teams and was by far the most popular Dream Team player.
