After winning this week’s AFL Army, Ryan Gamble has again been nominated for an AFL Award this time the AFL Mark of the Year.  Gamble earned his nomination when he made a giant leap over Magpie Nick Maxwell to take a brilliant grab in the goal square.

Cats fans can view and vote for Gamble’s mark at www.afl.com.au/markgoal.  Voting is open from the Monday after each round through to the following Sunday night.

In 2008, the winners of the AFL Mark and Goal of the Year awards will each receive:

- 5,000 for their grassroots club
- A crystal replica of the official perpetual AFL Mark & Goal of the Year trophies
- The Alex Jesaulenko Medal (mark) and Phil Manassa Medal (goal)

At the end of the home and away season, the AFL All-Australian Selection Committee will decide the overall winner from the 22 weekly winners.

The awards will be the presented during 2008 AFL Grand Final week.
