Tigers won’t relent

Richmond midfielder Shaun Grigg says the Tigers believe they can give their supporters hope for the future with wins in their remaining two games of the home-and-away season.
The Tigers have won their past two matches - a 43-point win over the Sydney Swans, and a seven-point defeat of Melbourne on Sunday - after snapping a six-game losing streak.
Now, they have switched their attention to Adelaide and North Melbourne, with Grigg saying the Tigers have full confidence they can win both and give themselves a solid base to launch into the 2012 season from.

From the moment he was drafted in 2007, people at Richmond have spoken of Trent Cotchin as a potential future captain.
Promoted to the leadership group after the 2009 season, the star midfielder had his first taste of captaincy when he led the Tigers into battle against Melbourne early last year.
And when usual skipper Chris Newman went down with a knee injury against Geelong a month ago, Cotchin was given another chance to fill the key role.
Three games into his stint as captain, the 21-year-old is revelling in the extra responsibility.

RICHMOND coach Damien Hardwick says it is important his young side finishes off the season strongly to build momentum to take into next year. A gritty seven-point win over Melbourne was the Tigers second in a row and gives them seven wins and a draw for the season - a win and a draw more than last year with Adelaide and North Melbourne to come.The Tigers looked to have squandered victory when, after leading by 26 points at halftime, they conceded seven goals to one in the third quarter.

Richmond holds off Dees in thriller
Richmond beat Melbourne by seven points in a roller-coaster encounter at the MCG on Sunday night. The Tigers dominated the first two quarters to set up their 17.15 (117) to 17.8 (110) win, but had to withstand a mammoth third-quarter comeback from the Demons before putting a nervy final period to bed. The result put Richmond level with Melbourne on 30 points but above the Demons on percentage in 12th place.
