Adelaide captain Mark Ricciuto remains on target to push for selection in the season opener against Collingwood on Monday night.

Ricciuto, who missed all the pre-season games while battling a hamstring problem, has continued to increase his training program in the past few days and plans to join the main squad for all sessions this week.

But the news is not as good for key defender Nathan Bock, who has been ruled out for at least one more week with his sore back.

Hayden Skipworth (ankle) is also unlikely to be available this weekend.

Several Adelaide players who have had injuries during the pre-season- including Nathan Bassett, Michael Doughty and Jason Porplyzia – played SANFL trials on the weekend.
