General Manager - Supporter Services

The Brisbane Lions AFL Club is recognised as one of Australia’s pre-eminent sporting and events organisations. This Premiership winning team has proven to be a formidable force within the toughest sporting competition in Australia, supported by a fan base stretching from Melbourne to Brisbane and beyond.

The Club has recently developed an exciting and ambitious strategic plan that will further enhance its reputation for innovation and originality. The key components of the plan focus on building a Supporter Services marketing strategy for the club, recognizing the need to further develop its membership culture and fan experience offering.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the General Manager - Supporter Services will be the architect and driver within the Club responsible for growing the Club's supporter base as well as marketing a range of supporter based products including:

• The implementation of innovative customer acquisition and retention strategies
• Ticketing strategies to build crowds
• Match day experiences and fan events.
• Call centre management

With the expectation of meeting financial objectives, you will also be responsible for managing and developing a high performing team comprising of 19 with 7 direct reports.

As someone who is proactive and able to think outside the square, you will have a proven track record in dealing with a variety of stakeholders and the ability to establish long lasting relationships. Additionally, you will have a solid understanding of contemporary marketing activation techniques. To succeed in this exciting role you will be a leader of significance with an innate ability to drive change through your exceptional communication and management skills.
