THE Queensland weather will decide if Fremantle goes into Sunday's clash against the Brisbane Lions with a tall or small side.
Fremantle has taken 24 players to Brisbane with Robert Warnock to join Aaron Sandilands in the ruck if it's relatively dry, but Mark Johnson looks set to return if the forecast rain arrives.
"Sometimes you can change your structure height-wise, as you have to play more ground level players if it rains too heavily in Brisbane," Harvey said.
"Mark Johnson is coming, but whether he gets a game or not could depend on whether it rains or not.
“Once he (Warnock) comes in we would like to sustain it and have a good look at his combination with Aaron over an extended period, but we will wait to see if it's this week or not."
David Mundy and Peter Bell trained well on Thursday night and are certain to play, but doubt still remains over Jonathan Brown for the Brisbane Lions.
Harvey is mindful of him still playing despite not being fully fit and has three defensive options for both him and Daniel Bradshaw.
"Our mail is that Brown is still 50-50, but we naturally have to plan for him," he said.
"(Antoni) Grover or (Luke) McPharlin are the obvious choices for Brown and Bradshaw, but we will weigh up whether to also look at someone like Michael Johnson."
In order to snap a seven-game losing streak, Harvey wants to see his players continue on with their form to three-quarter time in the final term and to get the club's first ever win in Brisbane.
"We have mentioned that a fair bit during the week and what we want to do in the second half of the year is measure ourselves against these top sides," he said.
"Our guys have been playing with flair, but it's just the last quarters that have let us down. Hopefully we can sustain that stamina and flair in the last quarter, but they are a good side that is emerging all the time.'
