HAWTHORN will travel to Perth to face West Coast this weekend minus Luke Hodge, after the midfielder accepted a one-match sanction handed down by the match review panel.

Hodge was booked for striking Richmond's Brett Deledio and was handed the one-week ban that could not be reduced with an early plea owing to his previous poor record and existing carry-over points from the last 12 months.

The Hawks will now front the decimated Eagles without their hard-nut midfielder, who was one of the side's best against the Tigers on Sunday.

In other match review panel news, Carlton forward Simon Wiggins has accepted a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record for charging North Melbourne's Leigh Harding.

With no previous demerit points hanging over his head, the 25-year-old is free to play against the Brisbane Lions on Saturday night at the Gabba.

Port Adelaide's Peter Burgoyne is also free to play this round after accepting a reprimand and 93.75 points for engaging in round conduct against Collingwood's Shane O'Bree on Friday night at AAMI Stadium.

The Power's Justin Westhoff and Magpie Nick Maxwell have both accepted wrestling sanctions worth $900 for their third-quarter scuffle at AAMI Stadium on Friday night.
