There has been mounting pressure on the AFL over the last couple of weeks to finally nominate young Bulldog Jarrad Grant for the NAB Rising Star award.

Football experts have been questioning Grant’s exclusion but it took the Weekly Poll to finally get the nomination over the line.

89% of Bulldogs fans thought Grant should already have a nomination and this week supporters will be wrapt to see the youngsters name join an illustrious list of up and coming stars.

Grant was outstanding again in Sunday’s game kicking 3 goals and racking up 20 possessions.

Following on from a tough pre Season, Grant’s has made huge improvements so far this year and has become regular player in the AFL side.

Quick off the mark, Grant’s ability to read the play and finish off in front of goal means that number 1 is certainly a player fans should keep their eyes on.
