Sunday 23rd July, 2pm
Teac Oval, Port Melbourne
Premiership favourites the Northern Bullants, take on bottom of the ladder Port Melbourne this week in what many might consider a cakewalk, however, games like this always throw up a few surprises, so the Ants will have to give Port the same respect as say…Sandringham.
Port, a traditional VFL powerhouse is undergoing a rebuilding phase this year after cutting ties with the Kangaroos at the end of last year. They languish last on the ladder and are the lowest scoring team, while also conceding the most points against.
The Bullants have the best backline and one of the most dangerous forward lines, which makes Port’s task nearly impossible. But in footy, anything is possible. Realistically, only a lack of concentration might get the Ants into trouble this week - no disrespect to the Borough.
