The AFL will launch a national TV advertising campaign on Wednesday night, as anticipation towards the 2006 finals series starts to mount.

The 60-second and 30-second commercials will run on the Nine, Ten and Foxtel networks and will leverage the hard work done by the players and the disappointment of those players who have missed out, against the excitement of playing in the finals and the ultimate glory of winning the premiership cup.

The players to feature in the campaign include Scott West, Paul Chapman and Cameron Mooney, Luke Ball, Matthew Richardson, James Hird, Daniel Wells, Sam Mitchell, Nathan Buckley and the entire Melbourne squad.

It was created by leading advertising agency George Patterson Y & R Melbourne and will run for the next seven weeks.
