After yesterday’s Blue Ribbon Cup clash against the Hawks, we take a look at St Kilda’s top 5 Dream Team performers in Round 8.
Sam Fisher 111
After scoring 110 Dream Team points in his 150th game last week, Sam Fisher backed up with another outstanding performance. The reliable defender had an impressive 31 disposals and 11 marks to post 111 points in Round 8. Fisher played the last term in the middle and if this trend continues, look for Fisher to continue to post high scores. He’s the number one Saint you want in your Dream Team!
Nick Riewoldt 83
The St Kilda Captain had a magnificent start against the Hawks booting 3 first quarter goals. He had 18 disposals and was the Saints’ second highest scoring Dream Team player. Late in yesterday’s game Riewoldt played from the wing, so look out for the superstar to post some big scores pushing further up the ground this season.
Ben McEvoy 77
McEvoy continues to go up in value each round with some consistent performances. The Saints big man now averages a solid 80.71 points per game and is a great back-up ruck option in your team. Look for McEvoy to have a big game against the Demons inexperienced ruck lineup on Saturday.
James Gwilt 72
Gwilt was solid for the Saints rebounding well out of defence and pushed forward late in the game. He had 20 disposals and took 6 grabs.
Sean Dempster 67
The hardworking utility gathered 18 disposals and kicked a goal to post his highest round score of the year.
*One to watch - Dean Polo showed some good signs in his first outing in the red, white and black. Priced at just $185,200, watch for his value to jump significantly. Polo could be a good ‘cash cow’ investment.
