The Collingwood Football Club wishes to formally announce that it is forming a sister-club relationship with the Devonport Football Club.

After careful consideration and consultation, this exciting venture for both clubs is planned to involve the promotion of the Collingwood Football Club in Tasmania and involve Collingwood supporter groups using the Devonport Football Club facilities as their base.

Collingwood’s acting CEO, Eugene Arocca, stated “this is the first relationship of this type for the Collingwood Football Club and we are pleased to have the Devonport Football Club promote itself as “Collingwood’s connection in Tasmania”.

This relationship will see some wonderful opportunities for both clubs and will grow as we move forward.

An official launch is planned for May/June where a club identity will come across and spend a day with all black and white followers.

“The Devonport Football Club having just celebrated its 125th anniversary is proud to have an official relationship with the greatest club in Australian Rules history – its sends a clear and precise message to all passionate football followers and its great news for Tasmanian Collingwood supporters and football followers in general.

“We are moving forward in planning and objectives and feel very honoured to be involved with the Collingwood Football Club”, said Devonport Football Club Business Manager Jaimes Wiggins.
