THE BRISBANE Lions will field a markedly stronger side when they take on Gold Coast in each club’s second NAB Challenge fixture in Townsville on Sunday.
Following a 131-point drubbing at the hands of Hawthorn, the Lions have brought back captain Jed Adcock, vice-captain Tom Rockliff, onballers Brent Moloney, Daniel Rich and Jack Redden, ruckman Matthew Leuenberger and gun defenders Joel Patfull, Pearce Hanley and Daniel Merrett.
All nine did not play against the Hawks.
Claye Beams will also play his first game back since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in April last year, while former Tiger Luke McGuane has been given a run.
Suns captain Gary Ablett has not been named, while Karmichael Hunt is set to play his first game for the season.
On the back of their tight one-point win over the Bombers on Monday night, the Suns will be looking to continue their early-season momentum.
The Lions, on the other hand, will be hoping the bolstering of their team yields a more competitive effort.
The game is set to kick off from Tony Ireland Stadium in Townsville at 3:40pm (local time).
