The Saints Hall of Fame is a great idea. May I ask however, who is in charge of selecting the nominees and what is the selection criteria? Will Saints supporters be given the opportunity to voice who they think should be given entry into The Saints Hall of Fame?

Dear Hayley,

The Hall of Fame Committee comprises of St Kilda Football Club President Greg Westaway, Neil Roberts, Allan Jeans, John Beveridge, Club Historian Russell Holmesby and myself, and is chaired by Ross Smith. This committee has been formed specifically to make recommendations to the St Kilda Hall of Fame as well as other Club, AFL and national awards.

With regards to selection criteria, we do not have any specific criteria players must match, however we use the criteria implemented by the AFL Hall of Fame as a guide for our decisions.

Although fans are unable to submit their specific recommendations for this prestigious award, we do invite all St Kilda supporters to send in a memorable moment or story about any of the Hall of Fame members by emailing halloffame@saints.com.au.

Michael.
