Since AFL Members were advised of the Round 21 Essendon v Richmond match upgrade, the AFL Membership Service Centre has received numerous enquires relating to the match. The following FAQ’s have been created as a result of these queries:

Do I have to purchase a reserved seat for this match?

This match has been upgraded to Reserve on Demand, meaning that all areas generally held for walk up will be made available to reserve in accordance to demand. If all areas of the AFL Reserve sell out prior to the match, walk up access will not be available.

Due to this match being the last one that Kevin Sheedy coaches Essendon in Victoria, all seats within the AFL Reserve are expected to sell and we advise that AFL Members wishing to attend the game pre-book a reserved seat through Ticketmaster to avoid disappointment.

Can I purchase Guest Passes for this match?
As per all MCG home and away matches (excluding ANZAC Day), AFL Members may purchase up to 4 guests passes for this match.

Can I use Guest Passes from the Guest Pass Pack, Absentee Guest Passes or Platinum Privilege Guest Passes for this match?
All of the above Guest Passes are general entry tickets. If walk up access is available for this match, you will be able to use these general entry passes (subject to capacity). These barcodes are set for general admission only and cannot be upgraded to a reserved seat.

Is an AFL Members dining facility available for this match?

As this is a twilight match, with the opening bounce scheduled for 5.10pm – a full dining menu is not available. However, as a tribute to Kevin Sheedy, AFL Members will be able to celebrate his coaching career at Essendon with a ‘high tea’ in the Haydn Bunton Dining Room.

For $20, AFL Members will receive a ‘high tea’ consisting of a party pie, sausage roll, mini chicken filo roll, scone with jam & cream and mini dessert as well as a reserved seat in M undercover and a copy of the AFL Record for that match.
