The 2010 season was officially launched at the Club’s Main Event on Friday 19 March at Hilton On The Park Melbourne.

The night commenced with an address from Hawthorn President Jeff Kennett, looking into the season ahead and our campaign to win our eleventh flag.

This was followed by a tribute to retiree Trent Croad, before the 2010 team were presented with their official guernseys, with the new recruits leading the way.

The Hall of Fame component was a highlight with J.W. Kennon, Bert Hyde and Gary Buckenara’s achievements acknowledged by way of induction. Guests witnessed Peter Hudson’s elevation to Legend status - the Club’s highest accolade.

Those in attendance had the opportunity to bid on the Confreres Player Auction throughout the night, with Lot 1 - 2009 Peter Crimmins medalist, Sam Mitchell proving to be the favourite. Congratulations to Rebecca Harris who was the winner of the successful bidder lot raffle draw.

The event also incorporated an interactive quiz and a Hawthorn main and silent auction with key memorabilia items on offer.

Thank you to those in attendance who showed their support for the Club.

We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events throughout the season!
